Modification Instructions:
Dual Potentiometer to Two Single Potentiometer Conversion
- Open length & angle sensor casing.
- Pull off gearwheel from potentiometer axis. Disconnect connecting wires from dual potentiometer at the terminal block, as indicated by arrow in photo, right.
- Remove (unscrew) two screws from plastic board, indicated in photo by arrows. (Keep screws for use later.)
- Bend plastic board upward at predetermined breaking point and break it off. (Indicated by dashed lines in photos)
- Carefully lift off 2 gearwheels (60 teeth) and double gearwheel from axes.
- Mount module using the two removed screws in place of the broken off plastic piece in the proper position.
- Carefully reattach the gearwheels.
- Reconnect potentiometer modules.
- Readjust extension length of the length & angle sensor.
