On Wednesday 24th Feb, a movable crane was crashed into the POSB bank branch when driver lost control of his crane while attempting the right turn. The accident happened in the morning at 7am in 2A Woodlands Center.
Crane driver is 36 years old and arrested by the police after the incident. The best thing is that no one was injured in this tragic misfortune occurred due to the lost control of driver on the crane.
The DBS spokesman said that “According to the police, the driver lost control of his vehicle while making a turn. He was also unhurt. “We are assessing the damage and our branch remains closed for now. Our staffs have been assigned to help direct customers to other nearby DBS/POSB branches and self-service banking machines.”
The accident photos were first uploaded by the two Facebook users, Mr. Anthony Lim and Mr. Steven which shows a big hole on the wall of POSB bank after the incident. The residents living in the building informed the police about the situation.
The Singapore Civil Defense Force said that they received a call from the accident site in the morning at 7am. They sent fire engine and ambulance to the accident site.
