We were recently able to help one of our customers with their Demag AC535 jib. We wish them many good picks in the future.
- Our customer reported “luffing jib angle indication on PDC Screen” indicates zero degree at all times. Also the crane operator complaint about intermittent loss of the main boom down control.
- After troubleshooting the luffing jib angle sensor power supply and signal, simulated signals we found that the “luffing jib angle sensor analog channel” on PDC Multisensorcard was defective. Our parts department provided our customer with a new PDC Multisensorcard.
- Upon check out and troubleshooting of the reported intermittent boom control loss, we found a defective crane electric relay in the Demag Crane Electric compartment, causing intermittent loss of power over the contacts. Our parts department provided our customer with a new relay.
- Checked the compatibility of the system and data software for this application and found that luffing jib was not an option in the original software.
- Advised our customer that new luffing jib had to be added to the existing software matching new load charts supplied by Terex-Demag.
