A key push is afoot in Cincinnati for improving the safety measures related to fully operational cranes. This move will tighten a range of aspects within the city, and it is backed by Maxim Crane Works—a leading American construction crane contractor.

Even the city’s Mayor, John Cranley, believes that the crane contracting company is doing great when it comes to working for the community. And this step, which is taken by this company, has proved its commitment to greater safety of the community.

Frank Bardonaro of Maxim Crane Works spoke to WLWT about improving the standards of operational cranes by doing away with the aged cranes at worksites. “In the past, there hasn’t been any minimum requirement,” stated Bardonaro. He expressed his concern over the fact that everyone can run a crane in Cincinnati without having any proper training. Now, however, there are steps taken toward establishing a few standards that will let every crane operator to have certain qualifications and training to operate this particular construction equipment.

Such quickness in formulating the standards related to cranes and crane operators comes in the wake of crane accidents that have grabbed the attention of many in the country. So, now, let us hope that these standards get implemented in time.
