The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) has planned to hold a special meeting of its Advisory Committee to review the qualification standards required for crane operators. The meeting is scheduled to take place from March 31 to April 1, 2015 in Washington, D.C. The meeting is entirely purposed to discuss over the prosed qualification requirement for crane operators. In addition, the agenda for meeting does also include some other matters: OSHA’s daft on safety standards, people’s remarks on ACCSH, and the committee’s recommendation on the proposed rule.

ACCSH, set up under the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, directs the senior officials and expert professionals, including secretary of labor and assistant secretary of labor who are entirely responsible to ensure safety and security against any feasible threat at the workplaces.
The Occupational Safety & Health Administration has always been proposing to use safety tools while operating crane machines. In line with introducing advanced safety tools, the manufacturers have introduced the latest crane machines with high responsive safety tools like crane warning systems and others.

As per the standards proposed in the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, companies are liable to ensure high safety and healthful conditions at the workplaces for their workers. The Administration is an executive body that works for the betterment of employees at the workplace by proposing and enacting safety standards, along with providing proper training, education and assistance.
