Dutch rental company Multi-Crane International recently purchased a new 12 tonne Potain MDT 308 flat top tower crane. This tower crane helps the company to meet increased demand for high lighting capacity cranes, said by the company.

This new crane has a maximum jib length of 70 metres. It lifts 12 tonnes and has SmartCom, an electronic control system which incorporates special sensors and is fitted around the crane to improve efficiency during folding and unfolding operations. It was first used in the construction of a 6 story building in Amsterdam where it was erected with a 40 metre jib and lifting loads of up to 7 tonnes.

Multi-Crane International BV was founded in 1991 and is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. It runs mobile cranes, tower cranes and self-erecting cranes. Its new Potain MDT 308 crane will join its existing fleet of 50 at the company’s headquarter in Alphen aan den Rijn, SouthNetherlands.
Ralph Breijer of Multi-Crane, director of Multi-Crane International BV said, “We have a lot of Potain cranes in our fleet and we’re always very satisfied with their performance and reliability. We have chosen this machine because it offers outstanding loads and is easy to assemble and dismantle.”
